BADE Publish
Four international peer-reviewed journals. All diamond open access — free to read and free to publish in.
BADE Institute is an independent academic publisher of four international peer-reviewed journals in the social sciences, education, psychology and medicine.
Our publishing work rests on the principle that scientific knowledge should be accessible. None of our journals charges an article processing charge (APC), a submission fee or a reading fee. Authors do not pay and readers do not pay — the model is known internationally as diamond open access, and the number of publishers able to sustain it is limited.

Publication Ethics and Research Integrity
All of our journals are run in line with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Allegations of ethical misconduct are assessed under the COPE flowcharts, regardless of who raises them.
Double-blind review
Author and reviewer identities are mutually concealed. Every manuscript is assessed by at least two independent reviewers; where reviewers disagree, a third is consulted.
Similarity screening
Every submission is screened with iThenticate before entering peer review. Work found to involve plagiarism, self-plagiarism or salami slicing is rejected.
Authorship criteria
Authorship is limited to those who meet the criteria of conceptual or methodological contribution, drafting and final approval. Honorary and ghost authorship are not accepted.
Conflict of interest
Authors, reviewers and editors are required to declare potential conflicts of interest. Editors stay outside the assessment of their own work.
Ethics committee approval
Ethics committee approval and informed consent are mandatory for studies involving human participants. Approval details are stated explicitly in the article.
Correction and retraction
Errata are published for errors identified after publication, and retraction notices for serious breaches. Retracted articles remain accessible to preserve the integrity of the record.
Editorial Independence
BADE Institute is the publisher of these journals; it is not a party to editorial decisions. Decisions on what is published are made exclusively by the editorial board of the journal concerned, on the basis of peer review. The publisher’s commercial activities, training and consultancy services and project partnerships play no part in any editorial decision.
Where our founders submit their own work to these journals, the process is handled by an independent editor and the individuals concerned are kept entirely outside the assessment.
