Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) Analysis
Measurement model, structural model, fit and reporting
We specify and estimate your measurement and structural models, assess model fit, run path analysis with latent variables and deliver the results ready for publication.
SEM lets you test relationships among several variables at once while accounting for measurement error. Its power is also its risk: a model that fits is easy to find, a model that can be defended in review is not.
\nWe work in two stages as standard practice requires. The measurement model is tested by confirmatory factor analysis first; structural relationships are added only once measurement fit is acceptable. That way, if fit is poor, you know whether the problem lies in the instrument or in the relationships you specified.
\nSoftware: AMOS, Mplus or R (lavaan), according to what your journal or institution prefers.
What You Receive
Model and fit
Specification rationale, fit indices read together (χ²/df, CFI, TLI, RMSEA, SRMR) and any modifications justified in writing.
Publication-ready output
APA-format tables and a path diagram, not raw software output.
Review preparation
The likely reviewer objections anticipated, with the defence prepared alongside you.
How the Process Works
- Initial assessmentYou share your research question, your dataset and your target journal. Together we decide which analysis is appropriate.
- Proposal and planScope, timeline and fee are agreed, and what you will receive is set out in writing.
- AnalysisAssumption checks, model specification and estimation, with interim findings shared with you.
- Delivery and handoverAPA-format tables, a written interpretation and a handover conversation. We do not request authorship for standard analysis work.
